We’re looking ahead to this upcoming summer with players who might not return to their current squad as the WNBA Season is almost over. Here’s an analysis of the major choice that G Kelsey Plum of the Las Vegas Aces must make this offseason.

Kelsey Plum has stated that she might not be able to rejoin the Las Vegas Aces. Alongside Jackie Young, Chelsea Young, and A’ja Wilson, Plum did not receive an extension. Given that the Aces extended three of the four players that make up their core, this makes the scenario extremely intriguing and raises the possibility that Plum would prefer a different chance.

A lot of clubs either lack a point guard with Plum’s calibre of skills or need a point guard. Plum has already won two WNBA championships and numerous gold medals at the Olympics. Since she has essentially accomplished everything with the Las Vegas Aces, we may assume that she may not return to the team the following season. Interestingly, even though 2024 isn’t Kelsey Plum’s best year, teams will still be drawn to her since she is such a great player. It is also implied that she might wind up with the Golden State Valkyries. Given how the WNBA has handled expansion clubs in the past, this is a possibility, though nothing about how things will work with the expansion team over the offseason is guaranteed.
