Driver Parker Kligerman of the NASCAR Xfinity Series made the heartfelt announcement in a message that he will be leaving full-time racing after the 2024 season. Kligerman is keen to finish well after 15 years of stock car racing with a last push at the Xfinity Series Playoffs and a title run before hanging up his competition helmet. Parker Kligerman made his Xfinity Series debut at Kansas in 2009, and he has accumulated an impressive résumé since then. In 109 Xfinity Series races, he finished 47 times in the top 10, and he won one pole. In addition, he finished 53rd out of 117 races in the Truck Series with three race victories and two poles, and made a few appearances in the Cup Series. In an emotional address, Kligerman declared his intentions: “My family received cable when I was nine years old.”I quickly, of course, discovered a channel called SpeedVision, where for the first time I saw men in multicolored pajamas, sweaty faces, and severe expressions – er, racing. I wanted to do that right then and there! My career goal is to drive race cars professionally.And I have been that for the greater part of fifteen years. Sweaty face, fire-resistant jammies, and all. I started a path that, for several reasons, should never have gone beyond go-karts 22 years ago when I first borrowed and pleaded my way into a go-kart (my mom just couldn’t take any more begging). not to mention given me several opportunities, a career, and perhaps even a reason.” Kligerman’s path has not been without difficulties. He needed to take on one-off rides in order to continue his racing career. Before enjoying his first taste of success in the Xfinity Series with Kyle Busch Motorsports, when he placed ninth overall, he raced in the Truck Series for two full seasons (2011–2012) with Brad Keselowski Racing. But when Swan Racing was sold, his full-time Cup Series career came to an end. He then had a period of inconsistent rides until 2023, when he eventually found a full-time national series ride once more. With nine races remaining to win an Xfinity Series race, the veteran driver’s prospects of a strong championship bid have been revived by his second-place performance at the Atlanta race this season. For the 2025 season, it is unknown who will take Kligerman’s place at Big Machine Racing. There’s a lot of anticipation for an announcement.
