Former head coach Marvin Lewis and head coach Joe Philbin were on Antonio Pierce’s first Raiders staff.

Antonio Pierce will have the assistance of two seasoned former head coaches as he gets ready for his debut season as the full-time coach of the Los Vegas Raiders.

The Raiders revealed their whole coaching staff on Friday. Joe Philbin, a former coach of the Miami Dolphins, will serve as the senior offensive assistant, while former Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis will serve as the assistant head coach.

In his seven seasons as head coach, Lewis went 131-122-3 from 2003 to the 2018 postseason. Midway through the previous season, when Pierce took over as temporary coach, he was an important advisor.

From 2012 to 2015, Philbin led the Dolphins to a 24-28 record. In 2018, he served as the interim coach of the Green Bay Packers, going 2-2.

He spent the majority of his NFL career working under Mike McCarthy as the offensive line coach in Green Bay and with the Dallas Cowboys, but he was an offensive analyst at Ohio State the previous season. From 2007 to 2011, Philbin served as the offensive coordinator for the Packers.

Notably, Scott Turner was kept on as the coordinator of the pass game. He was the offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders for three seasons prior to joining the Raiders in the previous campaign.

Even though Las Vegas placed tenth in the league in terms of opponents allowed to score, Patrick Graham, the defensive coordinator, is in his third season. Nevertheless, there have been some notable adjustments made on that side of the ball.

Rob Ryan, the senior defensive assistant, Rob Leonard, the defensive line coach, and Matt Feeney, the assistant defensive backs coach, were kept on as coaches.
