Jimmy Garoppolo, a free agent quarterback, has reached a contract agreement with the Las Vegas Raiders. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo initially revealed the terms of the agreement on Friday.
Additionally, Schefter reports that Garoppolo will not be placed on the Pro Bowl U.P. list. Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal also stated that the quarterback is anticipated to play every snap in the team’s opening practice.
Playing with the San Francisco 49ers the previous season, Garoppolo sustained a foot injury that kept him out of the playoffs and the team’s push for the NFC Championship. His first news conference with the Raiders was postponed by one day in March due to the illness that prevented him from passing the team’s physical.
After that, Las Vegas renegotiated the quarterback’s contract, changing his signing bonus to a base pay and including an amendment that provided them a way out, which Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk uncovered.
