Raiders Players’ Intimate Thoughts About McDaniels And…
The players for the Las Vegas Raiders spoke highly of Coach Josh McDaniels in all the appropriate ways. When the NFLPA questioned them about their coach, they gave him a different rating.
During the height of the controversy surrounding the previous season, there was discussion over whether or not Las Vegas Raiders coach Josh McDaniels had lost the locker room.
Apart from their performance on the field, the players maintained that McDaniels had not lost the locker room and that there were no overt indications that he had.
In response to questions, the players frequently stated that they agreed with the coach in a politically correct manner. The Raiders players that were surveyed were brutally honest, though, when asked to evaluate everything from their head coach to their training facilities by the National Football League Players Association.
Each team’s anonymous report card, provided by its players, was just made public by the NFLPA.
This is one of the best ways to get an inside look at the caliber of a team’s internal operations. The players did not hesitate to express themselves as they could do so without worrying about consequences.
The NFLPA states: “Josh McDaniels, the previous head coach, received the lowest head coaching score in the league among the players. Players’ perception of Josh McDaniels’ time management skills is only 39% (32nd overall). Out of all NFL head coaches, he was also rated as the least likely to listen to his locker room.”
Josh McDaniels was fired by the Las Vegas Raiders midway through the previous season due to the team’s persistent struggles under his direction.
What was otherwise a positive overall grade for the Raiders was completely undone by McDaniels’ appalling ranking among the players in the Raiders locker room.
The Raiders fell from being among the top five teams in the standings to ninth place as a result of Ands McDaniels’ grades from his former player.”To put the Raiders’ decline from last year’s rankings in perspective, the team would have finished in the top five overall if Josh McDaniels had been given an average score relative to the other head coaches in the league.”
Although it’s possible that McDaniels kept the locker room, the fact that his players placed him last on their annual report card speaks much about what they were unable to say aloud.
The NFL Draft is scheduled for April 25–27, 2024, in Detroit, Michigan. The No. 13 overall pick is presently in the hands of the Las Vegas Raiders.
