It’s not lost on me that in only 25 games as Raiders head coach, I was able to easily compile a list of ten totally bad moments that contributed to Josh McDaniels’ dismissal.
The man who freely discussed all of his failures when he initially earned a head coaching position ten years ago ended up getting fired even faster than he did in his failed Denver stint. He lasted 28 games as Broncos head coach. He fell short by three games (25) with the Raiders.
This is a clear example of how it started and how it is going. It began terribly. And things got worse. As difficult as it may have been to think, just a yeaa half ago.
For this, I compiled a top ten list. But, with Mark Davis claiming McDaniels was fired because he perceived regression rather than advancement, I decided it would be appropriate to list them chronologically.
So enjoy the ride. Mostly because it’s over and you can look back and be grateful it’s over.
