Jurgen Klopp was thanked by LeBron James as the Lakers star and Liverpool minority owner paid tribute after the coach’s shock decision to stand down. ‘You’ll never be forgotten’

Following the shocking announcement that Klopp will be leaving the Liverpool manager’s club at the end of the Premier League season, LeBron James has paid respect to the Liverpool manager.

James, a Lakers player who has minority ownership in the team, went to X on Friday to pay his respects to Klopp along with millions of other Liverpool supporters.

I am so grateful for everything and more! James composed a letter. You are an incredible manager who will always be remembered and, above all, who will never walk alone! The Reds are going to miss you!

With his shocking declaration on Friday, Klopp startled the sports world and announced the end of his nine-season tenure at Liverpool.

I know that many people are shocked to hear this news for the first time right now, but I can definitely explain it, or at least attempt to, Klopp said.

I adore everything about this club—the players, the staff, the city, and our supporters, as well as the club itself. I adore everything. However, the fact that I am still going with this choice indicates to you how certain I am that it is the right one.

The fact is, I’m, how shall I put it, exhausted. Naturally, I have no issues at all right now. I have known for a while that I will eventually need to make an announcement, but for now, everything is perfect. I am aware that I am unable to complete the task repeatedly.

After all the time we spent together, the years we had together, and all the things we went through together, the respect and love I had for you grew, and the truth is the least I owe you, the speaker said.

After a very difficult 2022–23 season in which the Reds spent the majority of the season well out of the pack at the top of the league before scrambling up to finish fifth, Klopp explained how the notion originally occurred to him.

However, he made it clear right away that he wasn’t leaving for medical reasons.

I am fine, stated Klopp. As far as being healthy at my age is concerned, I am. Small details, things of that nature, but nothing to worry about for anyone, so that’s good too.

I informed the club back in November, which he acknowledged. I must clarify that although my work may appear to others from the outside—I work on the touchline, in training sessions, and other such settings—the bulk of events revolve around these kinds of things.

That implies that once a season begins, the following season is essentially already planned.

I was taken aback by the realization that I might not be here at all when we were sitting there discussing possible signings, the upcoming summer camp, and where we could travel. Of course, I began to consider it.
