Midfielder has reportedly given his consent to join Leicester City who must present a concrete bid
The last few days have seen a rapid development of this tale. It appears that the 28-year-old Stefano Sensi is eager to join the Foxes.
This season, the Inter midfielder has been surplus to needs at the team since Simone Inzaghi has six other players in front of him in the hierarchy. He hasn’t started a game and has only made four appearances overall across all competitions.
However, Leicester boss Enzo Maresca believes that his countryman has the ideal profile to support his middle of the park play.
With 10 points more than their nearest rival, the East Midlands team is presently leading the Championship table. As a result, the team is expected to make a quick comeback to the Premier League.
Fabrizio Biasin, an Italian journalist, has verified Leicester’s interest in the former Sassuolo player (via FcInter1908). He also discloses that the athlete has decided to sign with the Foxes.
Biasin adds that the Nerazzurri are now waiting to receive a formal bid from their English rivals.
Inter Milan Awaiting Leicester City’s Offer
The Nerazzurri would be fully in favour of selling the Italian midfielder six months before the conclusion of his contract.
As we previously stated, Inter would consider splitting from Sensi in the event of a 2 million euro offer.
The talented midfielder signed with the Beneamata in the summer of 2019, but his development was hampered by persistent injury issues.
Before returning to Inzaghi’s squad in the summer, he had been on loan from Sampdoria and Monza for the previous eighteen months.
