Los Angeles Rams

A California native, Parkinson has returned to Southern California to join division rivals,The Los Angeles Rams after four years with the Seahawks.
The once-dominant Seattle Seahawks have fallen behind the competition in the NFC West in the years since Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan were signed by the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers, respectively. The Hawks have only ever finished first in the division in the pandemic-affected 2020 season, and since those two teams joined the division, they have missed the playoffs three times.
Colby Parkinson is a tight end available for free. It seems like Parkinson is following the adage, “if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em,” as ESPN’s Adam Schefter says that Parkinson will be joining a division opponent that is hated.
Three years and $22.5 million is a huge contract for a man who has only had 618 receiving yards and four touchdowns in his career and has missed the majority of two seasons due to injuries. However, the 25-year-old might flourish in Sean McVay’s offense because he is a competent blocker who can move swiftly and athletically once he has the ball in his possession—a scheme he should be fair to.
