BREAKING: Toto Wolff Hails Lewis Hamilton for ‘extremely fair play’ by giving up position to ….

Lewis Hamilton encountered several problems in the Japanese Grand Prix. This season, Mercedes has been struggling in the ground-effect era as well. The 39-year-old let George Russell to pass him during the race in order to improve his finish. Toto Wolff was therefore ecstatic about the seven-time world champion’s teamwork.

Russell should be allowed to use the Mercedes team radio, Lewis Hamilton proposed. The 39-year-old disclosed the rationale behind her unexpected phone call. The decision to let Russell through was slammed by fans, though. Mercedes even implied that Hamilton had the last say and threw the former world champion under the bus.

Hamilton’s move helped George Russell finish in P7 for the Japanese Grand Prix, despite the criticism. For this reason, Toto Wolff praised the seven-time world champion, calling it “very fair play.” The Austrian also claimed that Lewis Hamilton knew there was no possibility for a podium finish. The 39-year-old, on the other hand, was concerned about why he wasn’t faster at the moment.

I thought he played it quite fair. He wasn’t interested in giving up a spot for a podium; rather, he wanted to know why he wasn’t faster at the moment. English Channel 4 (H&T: speedweek.com) was informed by Toto Wolff.

Toto Wolff says that Lewis Hamilton’s subpar performance at the Japanese GP was due to “three degrees of difference.”

Any prospect of Lewis Hamilton finishing on the podium was eliminated by his troubles in the race. The 39-year-old was therefore dissatisfied with his outcome. Toto Wolff then disclosed the reason for Hamilton’s subpar performance at the Suzuka circuit. Wolff gestured to the three degrees of temperature differential between the two stints that was the source of the problems.

As far as I’m aware, there is a correlation between our performance and track temperature. The track temperature varied by three degrees between stints one and two. said Toto Wolff, as msn.com reported.

The team principal did, however, clarify that this was not the specific cause of Mercedes’ subpar performance. According to Wolff, the team was merely attempting to extend the assignment as much as they could. In order to improve the team’s finish, this was done to make sure they could adhere to a one-stop plan.

Our poor performance in the first stint wasn’t caused by this, in my opinion; we were only attempting to prolong it to make one stop. As noted by Toto Wolff.

Mercedes would therefore have to really find their form again in order to get back to their winning ways. Brackley currently has little chance of taking on Red Bull in a world championship match. The group’s aspirations to assist Lewis Hamilton in capping the season on a “high” are erratic at best.
