The Miami Dolphins signed Jonnu Smith, and his decision was influenced by HBO’s Hard Knocks
A player may decide to join the Miami Dolphins for a number of reasons. The team has won four straight seasons and has earned excellent ratings on the NFLPA’s post-season report cards.
Florida does not impose income taxes, but don’t forget about HBO’s Hard Knocks. With the arrival of Jonnu Smith, a tight end who claimed the in-season behind-the-scenes tour of the Dolphins influenced his free-agent decision, Miami gained a significant boost at tight end.
Last week, Smith remarked, “I guess I’ve had to give it to Hard Knocks, man.” I learned a lot from Hard Knocks. Hard Knocks greatly aided me in making my decision.
In fact, I saw it during the off-season. I watched it after it was over. It being the offseason, though, I thought, What the heck? I’ll just relax and see what these folks are all about.
I turned it off and realized that I had been binge-watching. That would be a unique group to be a member of, I think.
Smith caught 50 receptions for the Atlanta Falcons, averaging more than 11 yards per reception, while Miami averaged just under 28 points per contest.
The former third-round selection is excited to be a part of an offense that also includes Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill.
Smith remarked, “Those two speed guys are some of the fastest people in the NFL, if not the fastest.” “That will simply wreck havoc on the defense.
Those guys will be able to create space, which will allow me to use them to my advantage. Similarly, I am just giving this offense an extra pass-catcher to help get those players open more often.
We’re all going to complement one another and improve one another. In the end, I have no doubt that those guys are teammates.
I enjoy working in teams. It will just fit perfectly, in my opinion. I’m eager and anticipating it with excitement.
