Neville Gallimore is an addition to the Miami Dolphins that will deepen their line of scrimmage.
Neville Gallimore, a free agent defensive tackle, is joining the Miami Dolphins to bolster their defensive line. With the acquisition, Miami will have a rotational player along the scrimmage line, most likely taking up the position left empty by Raekwon Davis’s signing with the Indianapolis Colts. Christian Wilkins signed a contract with the Los Angeles Raiders; thus, Miami still needs to find a starting defensive lineman to take his spot.
The Dolphins signed Gallimore, as first reported by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
After spending four years with the Dallas Cowboys, when he was selected in the third round in 2020, Gallimore made 52 appearances, 14 of which were starts. Over his career, he has totaled 90 tackles, three passes defensed, and four sacks.
Austin Clark, Miami’s defensive line coach, is someone Gallimore has previously trained with, according to Rapoport’s report on the signing.
This season, the Dolphins added Gallimore as a free-agent defensive lineman, joining Daviyon Nixon and Isaiah Mack. Zach Sieler, the team’s established starter, and rookie Brandon Pili, a 2023 undrafted free agent who played in four games but mostly was on the practice squad last season, are back for the Dolphins this season.
