Three months after rupturing his Achilles tendon while playing for the Miami Dolphins in the Black Friday game against the New York Jets, Jaelan Phillips is once again ambulating without assistance.

Three months after rupturing his Achilles during a Miami Dolphins game against the New York Jets, standout Jaelan Phillips has provided an update on his recuperation from his injury.

Due to the injury, Phillips, 24, missed the final six regular season games as well as a game against the Kansas City Chiefs in the wild card round.

The Dolphins, under Mike McDaniel, lost in the first round for the second consecutive season without their outside linebacker, while once again finishing second in the AFC East behind the Buffalo Bills.

Since going pro, the number 18 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft has never missed a game. Additionally, the California native’s professional year was abruptly cut short by the injury.

But there are other Dolphins players who are recuperating from chronic injuries besides Phillips. Another is Bradley Chubb, who is recovering from an ACL tear he sustained in Week 17 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Regarding their combined recovery endeavors, Phillips remarked, We’ve been pushing each other hard.

For the first time since his injury, Phillips gave a public speech and expressed satisfaction with his development.

Look me over, dude. Nothing to boot. No scooter, he informed the media during the Dolphins Challenge Cancer fundraising function.

I’m not aware of the schedule. All I know is that I feel fantastic and strong. I’ve just been going after rehab.

Thus far, it’s been fantastic. It’s something I’ve never experienced before, at least not in the long run, as I’ve never had a lower-extremity injury like that.

It’s been interesting to understand my body and what works best for me. Overall, it’s been cool. Thus, it’s been fantastic.
