(Photo by Jess Rapfogel/AP)Grayson Rodriguez pitched six strong innings, Gunnar Henderson, Jordan Westburg, and Ryan O’Hearn all hit home runs, and the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Minnesota Twins 11-3 on Tuesday night.
The Orioles have won the opening two games of this series thanks to two further hits from Colton Cowser. Rodriguez (3-0) gave up four hits and two runs. He struck out six and walked three.
For the first time since 2013, Baltimore had not allowed at least three home runs in a game for the fourth straight game.
Henderson remarked, “It just feels like we’re connecting now, and these are the kinds of nights we can have.”

Cowser increased his.405 average. sMcCanJames n doubled with two outs in the second to drive in the first run. The Orioles led 3-0 when Henderson drove home a pitch to right off Chri Paddack (0-1) for his seventh home run of the year.
“What a youthful, competitive bunch.

“The command for football wasn’t really there.
” That might have been much better, in my opinion,” Rodriguez remarked. However, being able to pitch off speed was a significant improvement.
For the first time this year, Paddack completed five innings despite giving up nine runs and twelve hits. In the sixth inning, he left with a man on third and one out. With a single to make it 9-2, Anthony Santander drove the runner in.
The hits were three more than Paddack’s previous career high, while the runs were on par with his career high.
In the ninth, O’Hearn struck for two runs, and Byron Buxton attempted a stunning leap to rob him in right-center field. The homer was upheld even after officials reviewed the play to look for fan intervention.
O’Hearn had given up extra bases in the sixth inning to Buxton, who had made an incredible play near the wall in center.
Outfielder Trevor Larnach was recalled by Minnesota from Triple-A St.
Paul, and Matt Wallner was optioned to St.
Paul.RHP Tyler Wells (right elbow inflammation) was placed on the 15-day disabled list by Baltimore with effect from Saturday, while C David Bañuelos was selected from Triple-A Norfolk.
Additionally, INF Liván Soto was designated for assignment by the Orioles. In his rehab start for Double-A Bowie, RHP Kyle Bradish (right UCL sprain) gave up just one hit in three scoreless innings while striking out four.
Wednesday’s series finale was scheduled for Wells to throw, and the Orioles did not reveal a substitute pitcher following the game. Minnesota’s RHP Pablo López (1-2) gets the start.
