Report: New Orleans Saints player Jameis Winston to sign with Cleveland Brow The New Orleans Saints player of the era is gone.
The Bleacher Report claims that Winston and the Cleveland Browns are almost done settling on a one-year contract. According to reports, the contract might be valued up to $8.7 million.
In 2020, Winston made his Saints debut, supporting quarterback Drew Brees. Having started the season with a 5-2 record, he took over as the Saints starter in 2021 but was sidelined by injury.
Winston has grown to be a beloved figure among New Orleanian fans and Saints supporters, frequently appearing in Mardi Gras parades.

Disputes surround Winston’s last play as a Saints player. Even though the team was lining up in the winning formation to play the rival Atlanta Falcons, Winston and the team chose to pass the ball to Jamaal Williams for a score.

A one-year contract with Cleveland has been agreed upon by Jameis Winston, according to Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com.
According to Schultz, Winston has a maximum contract value of $8.7 million.
Winston played for the Saints for the previous four seasons, mostly as a backup. Prior to rupturing his ACL, he did start the first seven games of the 2021 campaign and finished with a 5-2 record.
He played in seven games the previous season, going 25-of-47 for 264 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions.
Winston is anticipated to follow Deshaun Watson as Cleveland’s backup. The addition of Winston also seems to rule out Joe Flacco coming back to Cleveland in 2024.
Winston, the first overall selection in the 2015 draft, started for the Buccaneers from 2015 to 2019 and finished with a 28-42 record. He had the most passing yards in the league in his final season with the Tampa Bay Bucs, with 5,109, tossing 33 touchdowns and 30 interceptions.
On Tuesday, March 12, Jameis Winston, an NFL veteran and former Pro Bowler, reached a one-year contract agreement with Cleveland.
Winston spent four years with the New Orleans Saints before suiting up for a third NFL squad. After being chosen as the first overall choice in the 2015 draft, Winston started his professional career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Winston was selected for the Pro Bowl as a 21-year-old rookie in 2015 after throwing for 4,042 yards and 22 touchdowns against 15 interceptions. In his rookie season, he contributed 213 running yards and six rushing touchdowns.
Winston, meanwhile, has found it difficult to build on his performance and establish himself as an actual starting quarterback in the NFL since that rookie season.
Browns supporters should be aware that their team’s newest backup quarterback, Josh Allen, will be picking up where 2023 NFL Comeback Player of the Year Joe Flacco left off.
