Breaking news: Just now, following the win over the New England Patriots, Coach Robert Saleh announces…

The New York Jets blew away the New England Patriots, and head coach Robert Saleh acknowledged that starting fast had a crucial impact in the triumph.

The New York Jets brushed away the New England Patriots 24-3 at MetLife Stadium and head coach Robert Saleh has attributed a fast start as a significant reason why.

With the Patriots coming off a painful overtime loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2, there was a glaring fatigue issue that the Jets sought to exploit…and they did.

On the Jets’ first three possessions, Aaron Rodgers and the offense had a 10-play, a nine-play and 15-play drives which led to a fast 14-0 start and the Patriots were playing catch up the rest of the way.

“We kind of jumped the ball early,” head coach Robert Saleh stated. “[The Patriots] went into overtime and ran 72 plays last week, so we were wanting to go a little bit quicker pace the first couple of drives, especially that first drive. I feel like we were able to accomplish that. Just trying to lean on them as much as we could.”

Of course, it also helps that Rodgers looked back to his best and was able to orchestrate those lengthy drives and with the run game gathering up speed, it was a perfect storm for the Patriots.
