Legend of the Kaizer Chiefs Tinashe Nengomasha has revealed his one and only hope for the Soweto behemoths as they attempt to win back their glitz in the PSL.

It is Nengomasha’s former paymasters’ responsibility to keep Cavin Johnson as head coach. However, the former anchor for Zimbabwe hopes that Amakhosi establishes a strong pattern with DStv Diski Challenge [DDC] participants.

The January transfer window, which ended today, saw minimal activity from the Kaizer Chiefs while rivals Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates strengthened their rosters with significant signings.

Zuko Mdunyelwa from Chippa United and Matias Esquivel from Club Atletico Lanus in Argentina were signed by Sundowns. Tashreeq Matthews and Thembinkosi Lorch, two highly regarded players from IK Sirius and Pirates, respectively, also joined.

Along with the arrival of Thalenthe Mbatha and Thabiso Lebitso, the Pirates also welcomed back Tshegofatso Mabasa as a striker.

Lebitso signed a two-and-a-half-year contract to become a member of Chippa United. However, Mbatha was enticed away by SuperSport United with a six-month loan arrangement.

WHAT KAIZER CHIEFS ARE DESIRES OF TINASHE NENGOMASHA

Chiefs veteran Tinashe Nengomasha, though, isn’t interpreting the Chiefs’ rivals’ PSL transfer market flexing of muscles too literally. He stated, “The Chiefs are a team that needs players with a mentality that matches well with what is expected of them, in an interview with FARPost.

The reason supporters get upset is because they are not receiving the things they are accustomed to. They may not be interested in the players’ caliber because they are accustomed to winning.Ultimately, you can see that having a structure in place to promote the best players among juniors is preferable. They will be the ones who never give up.

That’s precisely the mindset I observed in players like Scara Ngobese while we were playing. It is very different now.

I hope that tendency yields outcomes for us. Those boys are loyal to the team because they understand the structure. Their love and passion for the club inspired them to join the team, Nengomasha continued.

Recently, the amazing Mfundo Vilakazi of the Diski Challenge team was elevated by the Glamour Boys.

The Carling All-Stars team defeated Stellenbosch FC, the winners of the Carling Knockout, 2-1 thanks to an impressive effort from Vilakazi.

Since December 2023, he has been working with the senior team, and Nengomasha hopes that additional rising talents will be granted the same chance.
