The head coach of philadelphia eagels, Nick Sirianni, announced is departure………

Eagles are cutting coordinators as DCs and Brian Johnson depart. How does that affect Nick Siranni?

The NFL Network first heard the news of Sean Desai’s firing as defensive coordinator and the departure of Matt Patricia, his replacement, on Sunday night.

It’s possible that Nick Sirianni, the Eagles’ head coach, may stay in his role given that the article claimed he was the one to remove Desai. By scheduling a press conference with Sirianni and general manager Howie Roseman on Wednesday, the Eagles effectively announced Sirianni’s return.

After leading the Eagles to the playoffs in each of his three seasons—something no other coach in Eagles history has accomplished—it is not shocking that Sirianni will be making a comeback.

After the Eagles concluded the season with six losses in seven games, including a 32-9 loss to Tampa Bay in the NFC Wild Card Round last Monday night, there were rumors that Sirianni’s job might be in danger.

According to Eagles insider and Jakib Sports commentator Derek Gunn, it appears that Brian Johnson, the team’s offensive coordinator, won’t be coming back. He is going to land somewhere offensive.

Patricia, a special defensive assistant hired this spring, had already taken Desai’s place on December 16. Although Patricia called all of the defensive plays and Desai remained in his role as defensive coordinator, he was placed in the coach’s box upstairs.

Under Patricia, the Eagles’ defense did not become much better; they ended the season ranked 30th in points allowed per game and 31st in pass defense in the NFL.

Ron Rivera, the head coach of the old Washington Commanders, is allegedly on the Eagles’ roster of candidates for defensive coordinator.

To ensure that a similar conclusion doesn’t occur again, Sirianni was scheduled to meet with Eagles chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie last Friday.

Regarding Johnson, it’s possible that his demise was predetermined when quarterback Jalen Hurts also declined during the final stretch of the season. Having known Hurts since the infant years, Johnson had been the quarterbacks coach for the Eagles the previous two seasons.

Johnson is a contender for a few head coaching positions as well. Last week, he had an interview with Atlanta. It was Johnson’s first year in the role of offensive coordinator.

After the Eagles’ Super Bowl defeat in February of last year, Shane Steichen left to take a position as head coach of the Indianapolis Colts.

He was succeeded by him. After the Super Bowl, Jonathan Gannon, who had preceded Desai, was hired as head coach of the Arizona Cardinals.

Sirianni, though, is sticking. Some veterans were taken aback by the notion that his comeback was even in doubt.

Jordan Mailata, a left tackle, stated, I don’t comprehend that. He has led us to three straight post-season appearances. We went to the Super Bowl with him last year. That must take things into consideration. He is an incredible coach.
