Man perishes at Isabella Falls after falling from rocks
After tumbling from rocks at a waterfall in Far North Queensland, a 26-year-old man passed away.
At 4 p.m. on Sunday, the Queensland Ambulance Service was summoned to Isabella Falls, which is 20 minutes away from the Cairns CBD.
According to the authorities, the man fell backward into the water while scaling rocks at the multi-tiered waterfall.
The individual was not able to be saved despite the paramedics’ best efforts.
Isabella Falls, a multi-tiered waterfall with multiple swimming holes in the southern Cairns suburb of Edmonton, has seen three fatalities in less than two years.
A 19-year-old Cairns woman perished in a fall at the well-liked tourist spot in May 2022, and 17-year-old Christian Laska met his demise there in December of last year.
