Raiders’ Coach Pierce Specific on Quarterback
The starting quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders and head coach Antonio Pierce wants to remain there for the long run.
Derek Carr was a long-term quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders, but under a new head coach, they are once again searching for that stability.
The Raiders can’t afford to swing and miss at quarterback any longer; they have to develop a winning culture as quickly as possible. Yes, they’re tired of missing the playoffs.
After devoting a large portion of its offseason on finding a new franchise quarterback for 2023, Las Vegas suffered a major setback when it signed veteran Jimmy Garoppolo and had to part ways with him as a starter halfway through the season.
Antonio Pierce, the coach of the Raiders, does not want the quarterback switch to become routine.
At the NFL Combine on February 28, Pierce stated, “I would hope that whoever we choose, that’s the route we go — that’s who the starter becomes.” “Again, I’ll go back; you don’t want to put a band-aid on that situation if it’s Aidan [O’Connell] or someone else we draft or bring in. That is ancient, dude, really old.
We’ve seen enough of the Raiders in this organization, in my opinion. Although Derek Carr was here for a long time, both before and after him, there were a number of one-stop shops. Furthermore, I doubt any business would desire that.
