Just in: Former Arkansas tight end Luke Hasz signed a $99.9 million contract with the Ole Miss after…

The transfer portal officially opened on Monday, and since then, news on players looking to find a new home has continuously poured in.

Of course, the portal can be seen as good or bad, depending on whether you’re bringing talent in or losing it.

One team that took a major hit is Arkansas, which earlier in the week learned that tight end Luke Hasz would be entering the portal.

Without the weekend even passing, Hasz announced his new commitment to the SEC rival Ole Miss Rebels, who narrowly missed the College Football Playoffs after being ranked No. 14.

In his two seasons with the Razorbacks, he reeled in 42 receptions, 577 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Hasz, who still has two years left of eligibility, was a four-star prospect coming out of high school. 247Sports ranked him as the No. 12 TE and No. 197 player in the class of 2023.

He was also ranked as the second-best tight end in the transfer portal and marks a huge addition for the Rebels.

Former Arkansas tight end Luke Hasz will transfer to Ole Miss, he announced on social media Saturday.

Hasz is the third Razorback to commit to Ole Miss in two days. Offensive lineman Patrick Kutas announced his commitment Friday, and cornerback Jaylon Braxton shared his decision Saturday morning after it had been reported Friday.

Hasz, a sophomore from Bixby, Oklahoma, announced his intent to transfer Dec. 6. He was a two-year starter at Arkansas and finished his Arkansas career with 577 yards and 7 touchdowns on 42 receptions in 17 games.

Both of his seasons were affected by injuries: His freshman season in 2023 ended after 5 games due to a broken collarbone, and he played through a back injury this season.

Arkansas coach Sam Pittman spoke with media Thursday and mentioned Hasz’s transfer when asked what he would say to fans frustrated by Arkansas’ more than two dozen transfer portal losses.

“We know if a guy like a Luke Hasz walks out the door, it’s going to mean something,” Pittman said. “Hell, it meant something to us, too. It meant something to him, too. It was very difficult for him and his family.

“But the decisions have to be about the team. It can’t be about just the individual, it has to be about the team.”

Hasz’s twin brother, defensive back Dylan Hasz, is also in the transfer portal. He played primarily on special teams in two seasons at Arkansas.

The Razorbacks will play at Ole Miss on Sept. 13, 2025.
