The best driver is what every Formula 1 team aspires to hire. Nobody can dispute that Max Verstappen is doing this right now.
The Dutchman’s contract with Red Bull Racing expires at the end of 2028, but advisor Helmut Marko says it’s not impossible for Toto Wolff to try to sign Verstappen as Lewis Hamilton’s replacement.
In light of Hamilton’s abrupt departure to Ferrari, Marko informed Sport.de that he is ready for Mercedes to get in touch with him regarding a transfer for Verstappen. The 80-year-old said, Toto Wolff will try, but he will not succeed.
Marko claims that Verstappen has an excellent memory and that he is still aware of the verbal altercation that followed the collision with Hamilton at Silverstone in 2021.
Marko also talks about how Verstappen won the race in Abu Dhabi at the end of the same season and the controversy Mercedes created at the time.
Red Bull to keep Perez and Verstappen together?
Incidentally, Marko, who is regarded as Sergio Perez’s harshest critic, would not completely rule out the Mexican remaining in Austrian service past the upcoming season. December is when the vice-world champion’s contract expires.
Marko, in an interview with the website, states that it is quite feasible that Verstappen and Perez, as a driving team, will still be competing on Formula One circuits in 2025.
But after this season, Peter Windsor, a Formula 1 commentator on YouTube, claims that it is 90% certain that Alex Albon will replace Perez as Verstappen’s teammate. On the other hand, Marko leaves Albon’s name out of the interview with the German website.

Though I don’t think Verstappen wants to leave a successful team, every TP on the grid would love to have him. Possibly after a few years, if Red Bull loses its competitiveness,. What he decides then should be intriguing.
Max refuses to quit Red Bull.In the past, Toto had the opportunity to have Max, but he chose to keep Lewis and Nico.Max was given a chance by Red Bull, and now that Red Bull is back with three WDC and two constroxtors, Max is winning.
I’ve attempted to explain in my own manner why Toto Wollf wouldn’t dare ask RBR or Vestappen such a question, but your brain won’t take it.
Do you really think that, with this team winning, it never occurred to me to imagine that Verstappen would leave RBR? You don’t seem to be posting insightful comments, so I’m not sure how you acquired those 12,164 likes.
Lewis’s decision to join Ferrari will never make me despise him. Lewis leaving McLaren for Mercedes made me sad, but I made it through this phase! Some sad Ferrari supporters are upset because Lewis will be joining the team in 2025, and it will be the time when they get really, really obsessed with him.
Based on your misinterpretation of my comment, it appears that you and Mavric are not too far apart.I apologize, since I may have offended you too.
When you mentioned problems, were you referring to yourself? There are more problems with males chatting with guys like me.I normally steer clear of guys with problems like you when I come across them. How can I stay away from them? By designating them as IGNORE…
You definitely made an effort to talk to me, not the other way around. In addition, I’ve been sardonic in my apology for offending you. However, it appears that the other person is smarter than you.I feel like I’ve been cursed because I always have to translate or clarify the comments I make. All I have around me are tough dudes. And going forward, I’ll let you speak on your own like a Shakespearean hero.
