The PGA Tour reports that Grayson Murray, 30, passed away one day after withdrawing from Colonial.

Grayson Murray, a 30-year-old two-time PGA Tour winner, passed away early on Saturday morning, one day after withdrawing from the Charles Schwab Cup Challenge at Colonial.

His death’s circumstances remained a mystery at first; all that was known was the PGA Tour and his management team’s shock and grief.

Commissioner Jay Monahan of the PGA Tour said, “I am at a loss for words.” “The PGA Tour is a family, and you are never the same after losing a family member.” We pray for Grayson’s loved ones’ comfort as we grieve him.

GSE Worldwide, his management business, confirmed the passing and expressed its sadness.

GSE released a statement saying, “We will wait to comment until we have more information, but our hearts break for his family, his friends, and everyone who loved him during this incredibly difficult time.”

Murray’s parents requested that the Fort Worth, Texas, tournament go on, according to Monahan, who said he met with them to offer his condolences.

At the PGA Tour and Korn Ferry Tour events, he said, there would be bereavement counselors available. Monahan declared that he was going to Texas.

Murray, who had previously struggled with alcoholism and mental health concerns, had a remarkable comeback this year and won the Sony Open. He won it by making a 40-foot putt on the last hole after shooting a wedge to three feet for birdie.

The previous year, he had taken home the Barbasol Championship.
