The 49ers’ Standout Offseason Addition

They also added two excellent backup defensive linemen, Jordan Elliott and Yetur Gross-Matos.
The 49ers also signed Isaac Yiadom, a reliable veteran who might start at cornerback for them in the #3 spot next year. Lastly, the 49ers signed Joshua Dobbs, a fantastic backup quarterback who is more affordable and better than Sam Darnold, their previous backup quarterback.
However, Leonard Floyd, the 49ers’ new starting defensive end opposite Nick Bosa, is their best offseason acquisition. Since they selected Nick Bosa in the first round, the 49ers have had the best starting defensive end. Indeed, even more superior than Dee Ford, who never played well for the 49ers.
Chase Young, the 49ers’ former starting defensive end, was terrible, even though he hardly made an effort. Nevertheless, the Saints recently offered him a $13 million, fully guaranteed, one-year contract. Funny as hell. Floyd, meanwhile, agreed to a two-year contract worth $10 million per season with the 49ers. It implies that Floyd is more affordable and superior to Young.
