With the exception of addressing her death in 2021, during the Tokyo Olympic Trials, Sha’Carri Richardson has never spoken publicly about her biological mother. In Paris, Sha’Carri Richardson made her Olympic debut, winning both a gold and a silver medal. The 24-year-old thanked her grandmother in an Instagram story after her campaign was a success and expressed her love and gratitude for her unwavering support.
