‘A day without you is like a day without sunshine’: Simone Biles husband pours praises on her as he celebrates making Bears roster after missing part of training camp due to…

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are a match made in elite athlete heaven. The Olympic gymnastics GOAT and the NFL player have been together since just before the COVID-19 pandemic, and have made each other stronger, happier, and even more formidable competitors

Despite missing a significant portion of training camp, Simone Biles’ husband is still employed with the Chicago Bears.

Security On Tuesday, Jonathan Owens was added to the Bears’ 53-man roster. Even while it shouldn’t come as a big surprise, Owens’ training camp this summer may have been unlike any other in the NFL.

Halfway through camp, Owens left to watch his wife participate in the Olympics in Paris. In France, Biles took home three gold medals and one silver, bringing her career total of Olympic medals to 11. She is currently the most decorated gymnast in history and a legendary figure at the Olympics.

Owens saw Biles play live during the Bears’ preseason preparations; this was something he worked out with the team prior to signing a deal. The Bears supported it as well. While he was in Paris, the team recorded practices, meetings, and plans for him, and he reported that they were all very supportive of him throughout. He was even being pushed by many to return with mementos.

The fact that he is rooting for the person he loves the most is significant, according to Bears head coach Matt Eberflus’ remarks prior to the Olympics. I think it’s fantastic that he gets to do it; we’re happy about it. It’s going to be great.

This offseason, Owens inked a $4.75 million, two-year contract with the Bears. In his final season with the Green Bay Packers, he recorded 84 total tackles and one fumble recovery. The 29-year-old played four seasons with the Houston Texans after making his professional debut. It was then that he met Biles, who works out at a gym in the Houston region. Ahead of his last season with the team—which was also his first as a legitimate starter in the league—the couple got engaged in 2022.

It’s uncertain if Biles, who will be 31 years old in 2028, will try to compete in the Olympics in Los Angeles. It’s reasonable to presume that Biles will attend at least a few Bears games this autumn in the interim.

“I simply ask myself, ‘How did I become so fortunate to have my wife here and be able to see her?'” About Biles prior to the Olympics, Owens stated. “I get to call this person, who is essentially at the top of their sport, my wife.
