Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal will play an exhibition match to kick off Netflix’s live tennis streaming service.
Two of tennis’ brightest players will kick off the aptly called Netflix Slam on March 3, 2024, at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, with additional big names likely to appear.
Alcaraz has had an incredible year on both grass and clay, culminating in his first Wimbledon triumph in the summer, when he defeated current world No.1 Novak Djokovic.
Meanwhile, Nadal has been out of action since January and underwent hip surgery in the summer, but is close to returning, but 2024 is likely to be his final.

The duo will begin the new tennis event, which will be available in global markets and webcast in English and Spanish.
The event will be Netflix’s second live sports event, following its success with The Netflix Cup, a live golf exhibition that aired in November.
Netflix has begun to spend more in the sports sector, having already achieved success in several docuseries covering Formula One with their ‘Drive to Survive’ series and another show covering the NFL.
The organization has failed to get live broadcasting rights for any major athletic event, although competitors Amazon has previously shown Premier League football and international rugby.
