Ice Cube stated on Wednesday that the BIG3 offered Clark $5 million to join the league, with TMZ stating she would only be required to play 10 games – eight regular season games and two playoff games.

“BIG3 extended an unprecedented offer to Caitlin Clark. Why shouldn’t we? “Caitlin is a generational talent who can achieve amazing success in the BIG3,” Ice Cube tweeted Wednesday, adding that he didn’t want the offer to become public while Clark was still playing in the NCAA Tournament.

“America’s women athletes should not be compelled to spend their offseasons playing in often desolate and questionable foreign countries simply to make ends meet,” Ice Cube stated, referring to the fact that many WNBA players chose to play internationally during the offseason due to lower WNBA salaries. That dynamic was highlighted when Brittney Griner was jailed while playing in the Russian Premier League in 2022.
