At halftime on cFootball, chead coach Mike McDaniel decided to have some fun while his team was comfortably ahead.
With the Dolphins leading 17-3 over the New England Patriots, McDaniel had his normal halftime interview with NBC.
However, when he approached the locker room, McDaniel turned to face the camera, which followed him to the tunnel.
McDaniel then opted to turn on the jets, rushing to the locker room while leaving the cameraman in the dust.
The head coach had a major advantage: he was ahead when the ‘race’ began, and he was not carrying a camera on his shoulders, unlike his opponent.
The Miami Dolphins dismissed coach Brian Flores on Monday after three seasons in which he won twice but did not make the playoffs.
But the Dolphins intend to keep general manager Chris Grier.
“I decided today to split ways with Brian Flores,” Dolphins owner Stephen Ross stated in a statement Monday. “After analyzing where we are as an organization and what we need to do going forward, I judged that critical elements of our football organization were not functioning at the level I desired, and I thought that this choice was in the best interests of the Miami Dolphins.” I feel we have a good young roster in place and have the potential to be significantly better in 2022. I’d like to thank Brian for his hard work and wish him all the best in the future.”
