Lightning Reportedly Linked to Sharks Winger
According to reports, the Lightning are interested in a talented Sharks winger.
The Tampa Bay Lightning are the obvious buyers during the NHL Trade Deadline in 2024. They have spent a large portion of this season searching for defenseman, and with Mikhail Sergachev sidelined indefinitely, that search has just intensified. However, it doesn’t seem like their main objective before the deadline is up is to improve their blue line.
As to the most recent Trade Watch List published by The Fourth Period, the Lightning is among the teams that are presently associated with San Jose Sharks winger Alexander Barabanov. The Florida Panthers, Colorado Avalanche, and Edmonton Oilers are among the teams linked to the talented forward according to TFP.
Although the Lightning should prioritize adding a defenseman, it wouldn’t hurt to add another forward to their lineup. If they were to get Barabanov, he would make a great addition to their third line and be a clear choice for power play time.
But Barabanov, 29, has had some difficulty this season. He has nine points and three goals in 31 games this season. Despite his declining offensive output, it’s crucial to remember that he scored 39 points in 70 games in 2021–22 and 47 points in 68 games the previous season. Because of this, he undoubtedly has the ability to fire up again, and getting a chance to play for the Bolts—a team that is far superior—might be the motivation he needs to do so.
From here on out, we’ll have to wait and see if the Lightning’s rumored interest in Barabanov results in their signing him before the deadline.

Forecast: Colorado Alpine vs. Tampa Bay Lightning: Will the Lightning Last Until August?
This great Thursday evening, we have a loaded NHL schedule featuring some amazing matchups, and I’m ready to get started. We will begin in South Florida with a 2022 Stanley Cup rematch between the Tampa Bay Lightning (29-20-5) and Colorado Avalanche (33-17-4) at Amalie Arena.
TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING VS. COLORADO AVALANCHE PREDICTION
The rosters of both teams have seen some general adjustments, but the core group of players who carried their teams to the championship game remains intact and is primed for an exciting game tonight.
Right now, both of these teams are playing immaculate hockey—not flawless in the sense of winning every game—but flawless in the sense of accomplishing everything that is required of them at this stage of the season. These teams are focused on winning the Stanley Cup, not on making the playoffs.
These items are on different levels; some organizations just use different criteria. Colorado won the Stanley Cup two years ago, and Tampa Bay has participated in three of the previous four Stanley Cup Finals; both teams currently have outstanding rosters that are winning and performing well.
at an average of 3.67 goals per game, Colorado leads the league, and Tampa Bay is not far behind at 3.39. Each team has outstanding special teams players. Justus Annunen, who has a 1-1-0 record, 4.03 GAA, and.886 save percentage, will get the start for Colorado. This one had a lot of action, in my opinion, tonight.
