Sinner has been putting in a lot of effort for a while now, but things haven’t truly clicked until recently. He added a trophy in Beijing after winning his maiden major title at the Canadian Open.

He led Italy to the Davis Cup victory and performed admirably in the ATP Finals. That was all really remarkable, but nothing compares to what he’s done in the last two weeks in Melbourne.

Although he’s finally reached his target, he’s not quite there yet. The goal is to surpass Carlos Alcaraz and reach his level, so this is just the beginning. Cahill will not stop until they find Sinner, and that is the standard that he has set for him.

Simone Vagnozzi, Jannik Sinner’s coach, talked about how his protege’s parents have influenced him and how it has helped.

The Italian said, following his Australian Open victory, that because he is constantly surrounded by tennis, he doesn’t get to visit his parents very frequently. When they can, his parents do see him play, but that doesn’t happen very often these days.

Nor were they present to witness him compete in his first Grand Slam final. Sinner, who left home at the age of 14, was unfazed and managed to turn a 0-2 deficit into a 3-2 victory.

Sinner talked warmly of his parents after the game, but he acknowledged that he doesn’t see them very often. Simone Vagnozzi, his coach, went on to say that they were amazing individuals.
