The NHL community was left in disbelief early this morning when it was revealed that Johnny Gaudreau of the Columbus Blue Jackets and his brother Matthew Gaudreau had died in a horrific accident.
Since then, the hockey community has united in grief over the passing of the Gaudreau family and the two men who had a significant influence on it. Numerous NHL teams released remarks earlier on Friday. The Toronto Maple Leafs did so through Brad Treliving, the general manager of the Calgary Flames during Johnny Gaudreau’s tenure.
Brad Treliving’s support for the Gaudreau family hasn’t ceased at words just a few hours later. Rather, he has now also done something.
In the face of sorrow, Brad Treliving gives to the Gaudreau family.
Following the devastating news of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau’s deaths, the Gaudreau family created the GoFundMe campaign. The intention was to help Madeline, the widow of Matthew Gaudreau, and her family, who are soon to welcome a boy into the world. Numerous well-known hockey players have contributed since GoFundMe was started, most notably Brad Treliving of the Maple Leafs, who just provided $1,300.
Even though this is undoubtedly a little gesture, it ultimately demonstrates the profound impression that Johnny Gaudreau had on Brad Treliving throughout their time together. Please click the link below to make a donation to support the Gaudreau family as well.
