QB Sheldon Keefe punished Max Domi for his dirty play against Brad March. Sheldon Keefe called out Max Domi following the Bruins’ victory over the Leafs in Game 1.
In the first game, the Boston Bruins dominated, winning 5-1 over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Given that the Bruins are in control early in the series, this is exactly what the doctor ordered.

As anticipated, the game between the Maple Leafs and Bruins was quite physical. The playoffs here have naturally intensified the long-standing animosity between these two teams.
With a combined total of 100 hits, the Original Six clubs called it a night.
But Max Domi’s physicality made him stand out among the Maple Leafs. The night was filled with commotion, which the agitator made evident right away when he slashed Brad Marchand, a prominent player for the Boston Bruins, before the puck even dropped.
Although being physical during the playoffs is encouraged, Domi eventually lost all self-control and contributed to his team’s loss.
Notably, Domi punished himself for slapping Marchand twice in the latter half of the second session.
The Bruins took a comfortable 4-0 lead when Jake DeBrusk scored during a power play. Marchand appropriately received the main assist on the goal.
Sheldon Keefe, the head coach of the Maple Leafs, called out the Leafs forward following the game as a result of Domi’s dishonest play, which helped the Bruins put the game out of reach.
“Negligent fines. The penalty I would describe as undisciplined was that of Domi. I can see where he’s coming from, but that’s not acceptable behavior. He crossed the line there.”
Unquestionably, Domi’s crude cut on Marchand was inappropriate, and it’s good that the Bruins made him pay for it.
Now, the Bruins will try to capitalize on their current success and defeat Domi and the Leafs on Monday to take a 2-0 series lead.
