What is it that makes the Olympic Games unique?

One thing sticks out above anything else for Usain Bolt, the fastest man alive.

“I believe that’s why it integrates sports so well. While speaking to Olympics.com at the Laureus World Sports Awards in Madrid, Bolt said, “It really helps people to see the different disciplines and see how hard other athletes work to get to the level.”

“I believe that’s the reason it’s so significant—it’s a group, and everyone is inclusive.” I believe that’s what makes it unique.

The eight-time Olympic gold medalist from Jamaica, who is well-known for his record-breaking feats, retired in 2017 and will not be competing in Paris 2024, but he says he is enjoying watching the Olympics from the sidelines.

“I now get to attend a variety of events. I’ll go watch some swimming. I can go watch everything—football, basketball, and more. That’s actually the thing that excites me the most, Bolt remarked.

I’ve just had to watch track and field all these years. I now have the opportunity to visit everyone in real life.”

When asked which Olympic competition in France he was most interested in watching, the sprint star quickly identified the men’s basketball competition.

Bolt believes the event will be exceptional since the US has selected a 12-person lineup that is stacked with NBA stars, such as LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant.

Personally, I’m excited to watch the basketball match. I’m interested to watch how the basketball game plays out since I believe the US has something to prove and there will be many stars on the squad.
