This week’s verdict on Christian Horner is about to be announced by Red Bull.

Before the cars go to the track for the first session of the 2018 Formula One season in Bahrain on Wednesday, Christian Horner may find out the results of an investigation into his behavior as Red Bull Racing’s team principal.

Since the beginning of February, Red Bull Racing’s parent company in Austria has conducted an independent inquiry into allegations of inappropriate behavior made by a female employee.

During an interview conducted as part of the investigation, Horner vehemently denied any wrongdoing.

With more storylines than a soap opera, Bahrain is the focus of attention as F1 arrives.

The Guardian has learned that a report has been given to Red Bull GmbH, and a statement regarding the outcome is anticipated this week, even though no formal deadline for the investigation’s completion has been set.

However, Horner is not in front of a tribunal, and the probe is not a legal proceeding. As a private investigation led by an outside attorney, the business will evaluate the results and take appropriate action. Horner would then be entitled to pursue legal action as usual.

Other than the fact that the complaint purports to describe controlling behavior, no information about the inquiry or the complaint itself has been made public. The investigation is being led by an anonymous British attorney.

Throughout the inquiry, 50-year-old Horner has continued to lead Red Bull Racing, serving as team principal and chief executive.

He was there for the car unveiling and oversaw the team’s three days of testing that were conducted in Bahrain last week.

He testified before the media during the launch and testing, reiterating his innocence of any wrongdoing and placing trust in the ongoing process. He said that, with the approaching new season, he would want a speedy resolution to the issue.
