Done Deal: Als sign former NFL DB 

Montreal — Cre’Von Leblanc, an American defensive back with seven years of NFL experience, was signed by the Montreal Alouettes, the team announced on Thursday.

Five-foot-11 and 195 pounds, LeBlanc played for New England, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, Miami, Houston, and Las Vegas during his seven seasons in the NFL. He recorded 102 tackles, two interceptions, two sacks, and two forced fumbles in 52 games.


The Belle Glade, Florida native was a member of the Florida Atlantic University Owls for four seasons. 2014 marked the 29-year-old’s greatest season to date, with 55 solo, 16 assisted, two interceptions (one going for a score), and six breakdowns.

He won the XFL championship in 2023 while playing for the Arlington Renegades.

Montreal — Trey Botts, an American defensive lineman, has signed with the Montreal Alouettes through the 2025 season, the team announced on Wednesday.

Botts, who stands six feet three and weighs 281 pounds, was a member of the Colorado State University Pueblo ThunderWolves for four seasons and 43 games.

He received the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s 2022 Defensive Player of the Year award. With 66 tackles and 5.5 sacks at the end of the season, the Aurora, Colorado native was excellent.

The 24-year-old was drafted by the Philadelphia Stars in the USFL and signed with the Baltimore Ravens after finishing his college career.

Montreal — On Wednesday, the Montreal Alouettes revealed that Macon Clark, an American defensive back, had joined the team.

The Alouettes also declared the release of C.J. Avery, an American linebacker.
Over five seasons, Clark (six feet, 185 pounds) participated in 51 games for the Tulane Green Waves. The Saint Rose, Louisiana native racked up 49 assisted tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, nine interceptions, and 153 solo stops. The 24-year-old forced four fumbles, recovered two interceptions, and batted down eight passes. He was selected for the All-AAC First Team in his most recent campaign.
Clark was employed by the Chicago Bears in 2023.
