Everton call up 19-year-old for training ahead of Aston Villa clash

Everton aim to ease their Premier League relegation fears against Villa.

Now, Everton gets ready to take on Villa, who are second in the league and this season’s surprise gift. The Blues posted pictures from Finch Farm from Thursday’s practice. Dwight McNeil was not seen at Palace following an injury to his ankle. Although the winger’s condition gave manager Sean Dyche hope, the fact that he was carried off the pitch at Selhurst Park raises the possibility that he won’t play against Villa.

Dele (hip) and Ashley Young (hamstring) were absent in the interim. Another person who was not visible was Abdoulaye Doucoure, despite reports from Sky Sports that he was with the group on Wednesday. Due to a hamstring injury, Doucoure has missed the last five games; Everton has won in that time.

As Idrissa Gana Gueye left to play for Senegal in the African Cup of Nations, a fresh young player was noticed playing with the first team. Isaac Heath was rubbing elbows with players like Jordan Picford, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and Amadou Onana.

The 19-year-old, who formerly played for Leeds United, has spent the last six years with the team. Heath, who can play on either wing or in midfield, is gifted with versatility. This season, he has been a fixture for the under-21 team. In his 11 appearances, he has two assists.
