Spring Training for the 2024 White Sox Begins: Who Are These Guys?
Pitchers and catchers reported to Camelback Ranch on Wednesday as spring training got underway, and we’re all discovering together who really plays for the White Sox.
On Wednesday, the majority of Major League Baseball clubs’ pitchers and catchers reported to spring training, marking the official start of the season. Perhaps there isn’t a better day in baseball history. They say every squad is unbeaten, or something like that. However, Wednesday served as a crash course for fans of the Chicago White Sox to become acquainted with some of the team’s newer players.
The White Sox X account started the day with pictures of players showing up at camp, unlike any other. Teams typically take this action to let supporters know that their players are available and prepared for another demanding 162-game Major League Baseball season. The only problem was that, other than Michael Kopech, who has been with the club for a few years, nobody knew who the hell these folks were.
Later in the day, the White Sox social media crew decided to take matters into their own hands and started tagging and identifying the players in the posts.
