When discussing records in men’s tennis, it is rare to find ones that do not include Novak Djokovic. Over the years, he has been so dominant that he has even overtaken his competitors Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
From taking home the most Grand Slam championships to winning the ATP Masters, Djokovic has dominated the game in every way, particularly as the top seed in the world. Though impressed, the Serbinator’s wife Jelena is by far his biggest fan.
These two are the ideal illustration of the adage that “there’s a woman behind every successful man.” See what Djokovic’s spouse had to say.
The world number one’s spouse posted Djokovic’s incredible record as the top player on her official Instagram account a short while ago.
It showed him finishing eight years at the top of the ATP rankings list.Jelena Djokovic said, Not too bad, to this.
Jelena posted the image as a story on her official Instagram account. It displayed Djokovic far ahead of Federer and Nadal, his competitors, on the list.
Pete Sampras and Roger Federer held the top spot for 5.48 and 5.95 years, respectively, compared to Djokovic’s eight years at the top. However, Nadal spent a total of 4.01 years at the top of the ATP rankings.
Even though Djokovic’s career is coming to an end, he has no plans to slow down. Djoker has set lofty goals for himself this season in anticipation of the next Olympics in Paris.
Based on a 2017 interview, Djokovic was optimistic about his chances of competing in the Olympics in Paris.
Well, you can win four slams and Olympic gold (smiling),” Djokovic stated when asked about his objectives for the current season.
See you later. I mean, my aims and goals are always the top. There’s little doubt that things won’t change in the upcoming year.
But with the 2024 season off to a rough start, it’s unclear if Djokovic can win gold at the Olympics in Paris.
