Following Telesco’s announcement that they will not be using the franchise tag at the combine, Josh Jacobs is set to become a free agent. If the Raiders are unable to reach a deal before the start of free agency, Jacobs will be available for purchase on the open market.

In regards to player resignings, the Las Vegas Raiders have a lot of decisions to make this offseason.
Josh Jacobs, the running back, is one of the Raiders’ decision-makers.
With 233 attempts, Jacobs ended the 2023–24 NFL regular season with 805 yards and six touchdowns.
In the receiving game, he ended with 37 receptions for 296 yards and just five drops. At the end of the season, the former Alabama player selected in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft finished with a Pro Football Focus grade of 65.0, a rushing grade of 70.1, and a receiving grade of 51.0.
Tom Telesco, the new general manager of the Raiders, had a chance to speak at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana. Telecso talked about how crucial Jacobs is to the Silver and Black offense as a running back.
Yes, he’s a top-tier player, and I do want to instill in the Raiders the idea that we should resign our own.
It doesn’t worry me that I didn’t choose him because he is a high-level player and a Raider who was drafted by the Raiders.

Having been the Silver and Black’s primary starting running back for five seasons, Jacobs has gained 5,545 yards on 1,305 rushes and 46 touchdowns.
It will be intriguing to watch what the Raiders and Telesco decide about Jacob’s future with the team during the offseason.
The NFL Draft is scheduled for April 25–27, 2024, in Detroit, Michigan. The No. 13 overall pick is presently in the hands of the Las Vegas Raiders.
