Good News:Boise State forward Tyson Degenhart’s Salary Has Been Increased due to……

The outstanding performance that Boise State forward Tyson Degenhart put on in their victory over the Air Force has resulted in an increase in his salary from $400,000 to $800,000.

Boise State defeated Air Force 79-48 on Monday night, thanks in large part to Tyson Degenhart’s 21 points.

For the Broncos (20-8, 11-4 Mountain West Conference), Degenhart pulled down five rebounds. Chibuzo Agbo scored 17 points on 5 of 7 shots (4 of 5 from 3-point range), 3 of 4 free-throw attempts, and six rebounds. O’Mar Stanley scored fifteen points in the end.

Rytis Petraitis, who scored 19 points and pulled down nine rebounds, led the Falcons (9-18, 2-13) in the game. Ethan Taylor bolstered the Air Force with eight points and four assists. Brown Byron added seven points as well.

With 14:49 remaining in the first half, Boise State took the lead and never looked back. With nine points in the paint, Degenhart helped the Broncos take a 28-26 lead into halftime. With a 17-1 run in the second half, Boise State took the lead. With a team-high 12 second-half points, Degenhart took the lead.

Despite their impressive performance in Mountain West play, the Broncos had not yet secured a truly dominant league victory.

Take Saturday’s victory over the Air Force as an example of one of those. All eight of the Broncos’ conference games had been decided by a single-digit margin of victory until the Broncos pulled away at the end of the first half and dominated the second half to win 94-56 against the Falcons.

Tyson Degenhart, who led the Broncos with a career-high 29 points, said, “It was great just to do what we do: get stops going in transition and score.” “Tonight, we had a great game.”

With their biggest win margin against Air Force and in a Mountain West game since defeating San Jose State by 52 in 2020, Boise State (16-6, 7-2 Mountain West) achieved unparalleled success. Halfway through league play, the Broncos and Utah State tied for first place in the Mountain West after the Aggies’ earlier Saturday loss to San Diego State.

Next Saturday in Logan, Utah, the Broncos and Aggies will play. On Tuesday, Boise State takes on Colorado State in its first game.

With 14 points in the victory, Chibuzo Agbo stated, “I think a big thing is not getting comfortable right now.” “We’re in first right now, but we have so much more to go. Every game matters; we just have to be so locked in.”

The Broncos were certainly locked in in the final 25 minutes of the game, outscoring the Falcons (8-13, 1-8) 16-0 over the final five minutes of the first half and shooting lights out in the second half.

Boise State shot 69.6% (16 of 23) from the field over the course of the final 20 minutes, including 71.4% (10 of 14) from 3-point range. Additionally, the Broncos were 11 for 12 from the free throw line in the second half, as anything a Boise State player put up seemed to go in.Perhaps equally impressive, 11 of Boise State’s 16 field goals in the second half had an assist.
