He said yes: Unintentionally, Swifties record a marriage proposal during the Eras event in…

An Italian love tale was made possible thanks in part to Taylor Swift.

A marriage proposal was unintentionally recorded by three young women who were watching Swift’s performance in Milan on Monday night while they were yelling lyrics and filming the performance. It happened during the “Love Story” bridge.

Just before the proposal, the pair, dressed in identical “Lover” clothes, were humming and bobbing to the tunes. Then, one of the men takes a ring out of his pocket as the other keeps his eyes on Swift. He then turns momentarily to face his companion, who immediately bent over and took out a ring.

As soon as the couple learns what happened, the crowd around them bursts in cheers and clapping, waving phones and cameras at them to record the moment.

The woman who uploaded the video said, “When you and your pals are trying to film a cool video of yourselves singing the Love Story bridge and THIS happens.”

Since it was initially uploaded on TikTok, the video has received over five million views and one million likes.

Swifties respond, gushing in the remarks

The “Love Story” proposal thrilled not just Federica, the woman who uploaded the video, and her friends, but also many other Swifties, who left positive comments and well-wishes for the couple.

Sydney Beck commented, “All the phones and attention went to them that’s so precious, everyone just applauding and filming.”

“They are very cute!!!!!! “Are you kidding me with their matching tie dye? They look very happy. I hope they have a lovely life together,” a user going by the name Via said.

“Cutest couple,” another one wrote.

Some expressed greater emotion, stating that the plan had them “in tears.”

Melissa wrote, “Not me bawling for strangers on the internet… again.”

The gesture touched even non-Swifties, who wrote about how much they enjoyed “Love Story” proposals.
