Mike Tyson had an apparent medical emergency on a plane from Miami to Los Angeles.
Is Mike Tyson okay? According to eyewitnesses, the professional boxer experienced a medical problem while flying from Miami to Los Angeles on Sunday, May 26.
According to an eyewitness, Mike experienced a medical emergency on the plane, prompting paramedics to board. Before paramedics arrived, the airline broadcast a statement calling for a doctor—the message even appeared on everyone’s screens.
The jet was delayed two hours before takeoff because it was too hot from the Miami heat. According to the eyewitness, Mike, 57, was wearing a matching short-sleeve blue and white pattern cabana outfit while on American Airlines flight 1815.
Mike was in the Admirals Club before being led to the gate at the scheduled boarding time of 5:10 p.m., but was subsequently led away when the delay occurred. The eyewitness reports that he eventually boarded the jet around 6:30 p.m.
There was a lot of excitement when he exited the Admirals Club and approached the gate. A lot of admirers recognized him, and a few individuals took pictures, the eyewitness said. He was really nice, and then he was escorted away from the gate because the flight was delayed because the gate agent said the plane was too hot from sitting all day and needed to cool down.
About 30 minutes before their scheduled landing, passengers received a pre-recorded message inquiring whether there were any medical personnel aboard the plane.
Medical practitioners were instructed to alert flight attendants or hit the call button because another passenger needed assistance. Then our screens claimed medical assistance was required and repeated the same thing, the eyewitness continues.
He was in first class, but we were in the exit row, the eyewitness adds. They instructed us to stay on the plane and land so that paramedics could enter. [The stewardess] said something like, ‘He’s a very important passenger, and we want to make sure he’s okay.’ I knew it was him, so I just mouthed ‘Mike Tyson,’ and she nodded yes.
When the plane arrived at LAX, it was delayed for another 25 minutes as passengers waited to disembark while paramedics treated Mike.Mike’s next battle against Jake Paul on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, is just months away.

In an April interview with Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity, Mike expressed fear of the fight. I tackle my fears, the Hangover star said. And that is my personality. I am absolutely terrified right now. But as the fight approaches, I am less nervous because it is reality. And, in actuality, I am invincible.
Mike went on to say that he has been practicing every day for the event and has no concerns regarding Jake’s youth. However, he did mention that Jake has come a far way since his rise to stardom.
That’s not the guy I’m going to fight, he said, referring to the Jake fans became familiar with when he initially began making YouTube videos. This guy will come and try to hurt me, like he always does. And he’ll be severely mistaken.
Mike’s upcoming bout in July will be his first since a 2020 exhibition fight with Roy Jones Jr., which finished in a draw. Mike, the undisputed world heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990, retired in 2005 as a boxing icon.
