Just in: Russell Wilson of the Denver Broncos falls from fame to shame after ending his contract with….
Russell Wilson, who won a Super Bowl, and his spouse Ciara have listed their $25 million property for sale, suggesting that his days with the Denver Broncos may be numbered.
The $25 million Denver residence owned by Russell Wilson and Ciara is for sale.
Russell Wilson, who listed his enormous property for a staggering $25 million, appears to have hinted that he will be leaving the Denver Broncos.
The Super Bowl champion and his pop artist spouse, Ciara, are offloading their record-breaking Cherry Hills Village mansion, which at the time was the most expensive real estate transaction in the Denver region. Since Wilson’s significant departure from the Seattle Seahawks in 2022, the couple’s life in Colorado hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows.
Their magnificent 20,000-square-foot mansion features four bedrooms and twelve bathrooms, situated on five acres of property. The Denver Post reports that they are even providing tours to prospective purchasers who wish to view the home’s two walk-in closets, offices, basketball court, indoor pool, and separate self-catering apartment.
Sadly, the Broncos’ season wasn’t so good; they finished with a dismal 5–12 record, and head coach Nathaniel Hackett was fired after just 15 games. Wilson had a difficult year in 2023, both on and off the field, despite the fact that former New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton took over for Hackett.

Wilson is a talented quarterback who led the Seahawks to nine Pro Bowls, but his season-ending 7-8 record and 26 touchdowns against eight interceptions were below average. Some experts argue that the playbook was streamlined to keep Wilson from making mistakes and that these stats don’t reveal the complete story.
With two games remaining, the Denver Broncos were on the verge of elimination from the postseason when they benched Wilson. They blamed it on his style of play, but Wilson insisted it was because of a disagreement about a contract condition he refused to waive.
Wilson’s contract contains a unique provision regarding injuries. The Broncos will be required to pay him $37 million for 2025 if he is still with the team on March 17 of this year. The Broncos could not have stopped paying him before the end of the season if he had sustained an injury before then.
The Denver Broncos benched Russell Wilson for the last two games of the NFL season.
Wilson’s deal with the Broncos expires in 2028, but it appears like he won’t be around for very long. Many predict that the team will select a new quarterback in the April NFL Draft.
During the team’s midseason week off, things fell apart between Wilson and the group. Wilson claimed the team requested he modify his contract after they defeated the Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs.
Wilson made the following statement to the media in December: “Yeah, we beat the Chiefs. They came up to me during the bye week, Monday or Tuesday, and they informed me that I would be benched for the remainder of the season if I didn’t amend my contract, my injury guarantee.
And we were down to around nine games remaining. That truly disappointed me, and the entire bye week was a process that lasted the entire week.”
