What is TGL? Launched in January 2025, Tiger Woods’ virtual golf league
Following a one-year delay caused by the collapse of the original building’s roof in November of last year due to a power outage and windstorm, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s virtual and interactive golf league, TGL, is once again scheduled to begin officially in Januar 2025.
On the Palm Beach State College campus in south Florida, the building of a new permanent arena will complete the picture. The arena, which has 1,500 seats, was officially approved in March by the TMRW Sports Group, the owner of TGL

TGL, short for Tomorrow’s Golf League, is a brand-new, technologically advanced golf league that will collaborate with the PGA Tour.
Its concept is to blend live competition with state-of-the-art golf technology.
“Bring a fresh, modern, and fast-paced twist to the game we all love so much,” is how Woods describes the format of TGL. There will be timeouts, a shot clock, and team and individual match play.
For the first season of the league in 2025, there will be six teams, each with four players.
The league will play its first match on January 7 and run for one week. Each squad will play five games before the playoffs begin.
Max Homa, Tom Kim, and Kevin Kisner will be Tiger Woods’ teammates on the Jupiter Links GC team as of April 22.

Players will compete in an 18-hole match play event on a field that is 97 yards long by 50 yards wide.
Golfers will play specially designed virtual holes projected onto actual grass tee boxes using 3,000 square feet of screen space.
