Adam Michael, a veteran Black County midfielder, has formally agreed to join the Baggies on a staggering, mouth-watering deal.

 

In the 2023 and 2024 summer windows, Adam Reach was signed by the Baggies as their fourth summer addition. He had just finished seven seasons of championship football.

The left-sided midfielder has given Black county team over 300 Championship outings and a plethora of experience playing in England’s second division.

Adam played a variety of positions during his initial stint in the Black County, including center defense, wing-back, left flank, and central midfield. He made 36 appearances and scored two goals during that time.

His debut appearance for the Baggies came off the bench against Sheffield United in August 2021, and his first goal was scored at Ashton Gate in March 2022 to give the team a draw against Bristol City.

Reach, who came up through the ranks at Middlesbrough, scored in the team’s final match of the 2010–11 season, a 3-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers, to make the ideal introduction to the ‘Boro faithful.


Before playing a full season of first-team football at Riverside Stadium in 2014–15, Adam had loan appearances at Darlington, Bradford, and Shrewsbury. During that season, he assisted the Teeside squad in reaching the play-off final.

In August 2016, Reach, who had been loaned to newly promoted Preston in 2015, was given a fresh start at Sheffield Wednesday.

He assisted Carlos Carvalhal’s team in finishing the 2016–17 season in fourth place, improving upon their previous sixth-place result.

Reach had a fantastic season at Hillsborough in 2017–18, starting all 46 Wednesday Championship games and recording his highest goal involvement total of four goals and eleven assists.

Adam would duplicate his output in the ensuing season and frequently display his long-range shooting prowess while attending Hillsborough.

Before leaving to start a new chapter at The Hawthorns, the seasoned midfielder made 231 appearances for the South Yorkshire team and was named the club’s Player of the Year Award for the 2017–18 campaign. He also scored 24 goals and provided 34 assists.
