Jaylen Brown’s “disresponsible” remarks directed at him make Jayson Tatum furious.
Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum have been teammates for the longest time on the Boston Celtics, and their familiarity with one another has been essential to the team’s success.
But, with big man Kristaps Porzingis out of the picture, nothing will change for the two in terms of playing time moving forward in the 2024 NBA Playoffs.
Jaylen Brown is aware that the Boston Celtics need to win as a team.
After the Celtics defeated the Miami Heat 118-84 in Game 5, Brown was asked about his position with Tatum in Tatum’s absence. He simply said that more people are involved in Boston’s success than just him and his on-court partner.
Without Kristaps Porzingis, is there anything else Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum need to do?
Brown answered, “No.” “I think all we have to do is play the way we’ve played our whole careers, growing as players along the way, and believing in our teammates.” If we win, I think we will succeed as a team.
We also need to be able to maximize the special talents that each individual possesses. I think we should be more focused on doing whatever it takes to win, but also letting the game come to you.
It’s hard to argue against it, though, because if the Celtics are to reach the Finals and emerge victorious in the NBA in 2024, Brown and Tatum will need to play outstanding basketball.
In the first round against the Heat, Tatum averaged 21.8 points, while Brown averaged 22.8.Derrick White, who scored 22.4 points a night on average, was another outstanding addition.
