Raheem Morris’s list of supporters as a potential head coach is growing really impressive. Les Snead has once again joined the chorus of people who have praised the Rams defensive coordinator, including Sean McVay, Jalen Ramsey, Kevin Demoff, and countless others. Teams are considering the Rams defensive coordinator as their next head coach.

Morris’s qualities as a head coach were the subject of a three-minute diatribe delivered by Snead at the beginning of his Friday conference call with media.

“Let me start with this. Although Snead doesn’t typically give monologues, she began, “I know Raheem is currently interviewing for almost every head coaching position in the NFL, so I do want to talk about him.” And even though three years have passed, I haven’t had many chances to speak with him about him. First, a wonderful human being—I think we all know this. No matter where you are in the company, the guy is coded to treat everyone with respect and to establish relationships with them all.

Snead went on to discuss Morris’s intelligence outside of football, pointing out his depth as a person. Snead considers him to be an even more suitable candidate because of his experience working on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.

Snead is aware that Morris will be able to assemble a strong staff and recruit players easily as everyone will want to play for him if he is hired as head coach.

“He’s a highly intelligent human being who happened to choose football, and probably could’ve done a lot of things in life, but chose the path of football. … He’s going to give any organization an edge just based on how collaborative he is,” Snead continued. “It’s going to be an edge that most teams aren’t going to be able to compete with. He’ll be able to hire an unbelievable staff. Every coach who’s any good, who’s qualified, they’re going to want to work for Raheem and I’m pretty sure there’ll be a lot of tampering charges because just about every player in the NFL is going to text him wanting to go play for him.”

Morris is interviewing with a third team on Friday in addition to the two teams he has already met with. On Saturday, he will conclude his fourth and fifth interviews and his first set of discussions with head coach-hunting teams.

Morris is one of the most sought-after coaches available this offseason because five teams—the Chargers, Commanders, Seahawks, Falcons, and Panthers—have expressed interest in him.

Although McVay, Snead, Demoff, and others believe it’s time for him to accept a second head coaching job, the Rams would still want to have him on as their defensive coordinator.
