Stafford wants to change that, and the cost might increase as time goes on and these quarterbacks continue to receive large salaries.

Without a doubt, Stafford is entitled to a contract update. When he’s healthy, he’s probably the most gifted quarterback the Rams have ever had, leading them to unprecedented heights. Even at the advanced age of 36, he remains one of the best signal callers in this game. Veteran quarterbacks like this one don’t come around very often, so Los Angeles needs to hold onto him.

Stafford wants a new deal because it will ensure his financial stability more than his performance on the field. He has shown his value as a Ram, particularly in 2023.Stafford had a fantastic season in which he had a chance to earn Comeback Player of the Year.

In addition to having a 92.5 quarterback rating, he completed 62.6 percent of passes for 3,965 yards, 24 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, and 7.6 yards per attempt.
